There is a huge country music show at The Rodeo Club in San Jose this Friday night. The show will feature Haley & Michaels as the headliner along with Ryan Kinder and Brothers Osborne as opening acts.
Haley & Michaels is a duo comprised of Shannon Haley and Ryan Michaels. They met in Nashville at the Frothy Monkey through a guitar player that was in both of their solo bands and thought their voices would work well together. Although they met in Nashville, ironically, they are both Bay Area locals and grew up just a few miles apart. Shannon is from Los Altos and Ryan is from Palo Alto.
After being introduced they realized that their was magic when they combined their talents. Interestingly, it also turned out that their greatest musical influences were identical - Garth Brooks and James Taylor.
They performed for the first time together in Los Angeles, California at The Roxy Theater on the Sunset Strip. It felt like they had been performing together for years and they had never had so much fun performing. The blend between their voices was amazing and the two have been making music together ever since.
Both Shannon and Ryan love songwriting, and that was what originally brought them to Nashville. The first time the two wrote a song together was "The Price I Pay". That song would ultimately start it all for the duo. The video for the song has had hundreds of thousands of views on YouTube, has been featured on TNN's Top Ten, CMT.com, MTV.com and ZUUS Country.
The two have performed with such superstars as Clint Black, Hank Williams, Jr., and Brett Eldridge.
The two are especially excited to play for the hometown crowd at The Rodeo Club this Friday night.
