Last week a woman dropped off a letter at the St. Augustine Record, which claimed to have information regarding the disappearance of 6-year-old HaLeigh Cummings.
On Monday, authorities the Florida Times-Union reports the letter provided information about a burial site for the missing girl. The location has been checked by authorities and nothing related to HaLeigh was found at the site.
Over 4,000 leads have been investigated in the case, but none so far have proved to be fruitful.

HaLeigh is 3’ tall and weighs 39 pounds. She has blonde hair and brown eyes.
Anyone with information on HaLeigh’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Putnam County Sheriff's Office at 386-329-0808 or Crime Stoppers at 1-888-277-TIPS. A reward of $35,000 is available for information leading to her recovery or the conviction of anyone involved in her disappearance. You may remain anonymous.
