Hale House Spring Gala lights up Mandarin Oriental Hotel

Emmy Award winning actress Patricia Clarkson welcomed over 200 guests to The Mandarin Oriental Hotel in NYC as host of the Hale House Spring Gala on April 3, 2013. This year’s benefit honored philanthropist Sharon Bush and Christine Larsen, executive vice president - firm process improvement at JPMorgan Chase, for their tireless dedication to the cause.

Following the cocktail hour, Lauren Bush Lauren, Ashley and Pierce Bush took to the stage to present their mother, Sharon Bush, with the Mother Hale Award for Mothers Who Make a Difference. Hale House Board of Directors member Neil H. Wilcox presented Larson with her award.

The night’s co-chairs were Alexandra Lebenthal, Frederick Anderson and Janice Innis-Thompson, Hale House's Director of Development Mark McGrath along with David Lauren, Lydia Fenet, Barbara Winston and Nicole Miller.

The ballroom at The Mandarin Oriental Hotel was transformed into a spring paradise, with each table adorned with an abundance of sweet smelling cherry blossoms.

With a rich legacy of service established by founder Mother Clara Hale, Hale House delivers child and family-focused programs that are responsive to each family’s unique circumstances and the evolving social needs within the Harlem community and beyond.
