Haiti was ravaged again today by a 6.1 aftershock. The earthquake last week claimed 200,000 lives and left 250,000 injured and 1.5 million lost their homes. The blow of the quakes in Haiti must do nothing less than shake the follower of Christ into action.

Des Moines may be miles removed from Haiti, but the devastation is felt here. The cry of the children and mothers and fathers there resonates in the ears here. The thread of humanity binds everyone together and so the people of Des Moines must move to help.

This Saturday night, at the home of Adam Brewster and Brianna Brewster there will be an event held for Haiti. There will be prayers for Haiti as well as a time of brainstorming ways to help raise money for Haiti.

When: Saturday January 23rd at 7:00pm

Where: The Brewster residence at 656 25th Street in Des Moines
