Hair in the hood and out

Let's give credit where credit is due. In the hood hair can be seen in every color and every hue. There is no distinction between a day and night time do. The mood is whatever you feel. Its just all about the do.

Outside the hood they're looking in. What's new on the runway is old in the hood. When braids were confined to the hood they offered you no job and no respect. Remember Bo Derek? The perfect 10? Ah the legitimacy of the braided do. Today executives were braids. Are They tolerated or celebrated? All depends on where you are and the crowd you are with.

When its in the hood people stare, they snicker, they point and they whisper. Its big, its stiff, its bright its an attention getter. Yes we see you walking down the street, the street is the real runway. Beautiful. Do the leaders of fashionista sneak in the hood? under cover? Scooping out the latest in the hood and turn it into the greatest on the runway?

Mr and Mrs Fashionista, take notes, carry it out and then let's give credit where credit is due. Hats off to the creative geniuses in the hood. The true leaders of big, stiff, exotic, formal and what some may deem to be fantasy yet everyday hairdo's.

Let me know what you think. Did you see or wear a do that lived in the hood and moved to the runway? Do you wear one now? Do you have a hair fashionista in your life?
