ZuriWorks is a local non-profit organization that directly services women battling cancer.
The Big Chop to Stop Cancer benefits ZuriWorks' Exposures Project, a traveling photo exhibit featuring the triumphant stories of women of color who are battling cancer.
Through this project, ZuriWorks teaches cancer survivors (and patients) to use photography and their own voices to become health advocates in their community.
Participants in the Exposures Project learn to use their stories to raise awareness about early detection, treatment, and survivorship.
Proceeds benefit ZuriWorks for Women's Health, a nonprofit organization serving women battling cancer.
ZuriWorks' Exposures Project is supported by DC Commission on the Arts & Humanities, Howard University Hospital Cancer Center, and PEPCO.
