Los Angeles rock band Haim opened the Liberty Stage on Saturday afternoon, officially kicking off the second stage at this year's Budweiser Made in America Festival.
Playing like the second coming of Heart, the mostly family affair of guitarists Alana and Danielle Haim, bassist Este Haim and drummer Dash Hutton rocked out in the oppressive heat and humidity, impressing the festival goers who happened to settle at the Liberty Stage to check them out.
Youngest sister Alana Haim lost her shoes prior to their set, but received an offer from a man in the audience letting her borrow his shoes for the duration of their concert. He promptly launched one of his shoes into the head of a concert goer standing at the front of the stage. The second shoe arrived without incident.
Shoe situation aside, Haim played an impactful set, setting the bar very high for all the artists who followed them.
