It shouldn’t come as a surprise that an iconic member of the “Saturday Night Live” cast would tag Justin Bieber as “one of the worst 'SNL' guest hosts ever. Bill Hader, who spent eight seasons on Saturday night’s popular show, is making no excuses about not being a “Belieber,” according to JobShire on Aug. 27.
Hader’s dislike for Bieber is noted in a new book “Live from New York: An Uncensored History of Saturday Night Live,” which is written by James Andrew Miller and Tom Shales. The “Baby” singer didn’t impress Hader one bit, in fact it sounds like Bieber was a major source of angst while on the set of the show, reports Fox 411.
Hader’s mild disdain for the teen crooner dates back a while. Last year he described Bieber’s behavior to Howard Stern when Hader was on his show. He told Stern that Bieber showed up with an entourage that consisted of about 20 guys.
Apparently Bieber’s guys each had an important job. One guy who held a slice of pizza and another one held Bieber’s diet coke while following him around the set in case he fancied a bite or a sip. How creative of Bieber to have his favorite food at hand!
After telling Stern about Bieber’s idiosyncrasies, he compared him to Justin Timberlake, who comes without towing anyone behind him. Bieber has a guy at the ready to jump for his every whim apparently.
In a recent interview Hader said about having Bieber on the set of “SNL,”:
"I really didn't enjoy having Justin Bieber around. He's the only one who lived up to the reputation. I think that's the only time I felt that way in eight years."
One of the most aggravating aspects of Bieber and his entourage for Hader was that they get in the way of the hustling backstage world getting ready to hit the air live. This was another undesirable side effect of having Bieber in their midst!
