"Dead bodies are rising from their graves" in Montana...sort of. Most people are used to emergency alerts warning about tornadoes, severe weather and other real emergencies, but on Monday, a television station in Montana aired a more unusual emergency alert warning locals to beware of zombies.
According to the Associated Press, hackers interrupted regular programming on KRTV in Great Falls using the Emergency Broadcasting System. The station confirmed that the emergency message was a result of hackers taking over the system.
The alert included reports that the dead bodies were attacking living people and warned people not to get near the dead bodies as they were extremely dangerous. While AP reported that local police received at least four phone calls wondering if the alert was true, such an emergency warning would grab attention.
Considering the alert came one day after the return of AMC's zombie series "The Walking Dead," it shows that zombies are still as popular as ever.
What would you do if you saw such an alert? Would you assume it was a hoax or would you grab your zombie survival kit? Do you think there is a real possibility that a zombie apocalypse could happen?
