Habitat for Humanity of Greater Orlando Area works to help make this a better community for all of us and now they are currently seeking volunteers for both its build sites and ReStore retail locations.

The build sites have volunteer days Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 8 a.m.–2 p.m. The ReStores are open Monday-Saturday and have 4-8 hour shifts available for volunteers.

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Orlando Area is a not-for-profit, ecumenical, Christian organization dedicated to transforming the lives of low-income, hardworking families through the American Dream of homeownership. Habitat Orlando is one of approximately 2,100 local affiliates of Habitat for Humanity International. Support from sponsors, donors and volunteers directly benefits the Central Florida community.

Its ReStore locations sell gently used household goods and building materials; proceeds fund Habitat’s overall mission. Volunteers on the build site perform basic construction tasks, including framing walls, hanging siding and painting. ReStore volunteers assist with sorting donations, providing customer service and serving as cashiers.

Volunteers are not required to have construction or sales experience. Training will be provided on-site.
