H&M fights AIDS with fashion

On April 26th, H&M will launch their fifth Fashion Against AIDS (FAA) collection to raise funds and awareness about HIV/AIDS among their customers. In their press release, published on their website, the company states that, “safe sex is a message that each new generation needs to hear”.

The entire collection, which is over 50 pieces, will be available in 300 stores and online in the coming months. This time around, the collection is notably inspired by cultures and style from all around the globe. The bright colors and ethnic patterns definitely give an outfit that extra “pop” that you need. And, since tribal trends have been growing on the runways in the past few seasons, H&M designers hit this collection head on. Not only can shoppers browse through African printed crop tops and leggings but also iPhone cases and hammocks!

Still, to make the collection even more awesome, 25% of all sales will go directly to several international youth HIV/AIDS projects. In the past, H&M has raised over $45 million from previous FAA projects! This year the company will be supporting these amazing AIDS awareness charities: Designers Against AIDS (DAA), MTV’s Staying Alive Foundation, United Nations Population Fund, and YouthAIDS.
