H&M Coming to Denver

Following speculation and various reports from local news outlets about the Swedish fashion retailer’s

entry into Colorado, H&M confirmed today that it will open its first Colorado store at the Denver Pavilions

on the 16th Street Mall.

Colorado frugal fashionistas have long clamored for H&M to bring its unique style to the Denver area, so

the new retail store will be a welcome addition to both the Denver Pavilions and the entire state. It is

expected to bring more shoppers and increase revenue to the Denver metro area, as well as adding retail

sales and management jobs. According to a Denver Pavilions report, the new H&M will be a full concept store,

offering fashionable clothing for men, women, teens and children, as well as lingerie, denim, and accessories.

Founded in 1947, H&M now operates over 2,200 stores in 40 countries around the world – 208 stores currently in

the United States. The company’s business concept is to “offer fashion and quality at the best price to [its] customers

ranging from women, men and young people to children.“ From a variety of brands ranging in price point, H&M has

collaborated with many celebrity and well-known designers to offer its fashion-forward, trendy and affordable

styles.

While an exact date was not yet released for the grand opening, the company’s Facebook page states

that the new store will open in fall of 2011. Become a fan of H&M on Facebook or follow the company on Twitter to
