Based at Far West Farms, in Calabasas, California, Nick Karazissis has trained and competed to earn top titles in the hunter-jumper world for more than four decades. Far West Farms has won multiple local, regional, and national championships. Karazassis trains alongside his brother Kost Karazissis, his sister-in-law Jenny Karazassis, and his daughter Cassandra Karazassis.

He also serves as a judge in the hunter-jumper ring, particularly on the West Coast.

The 2014 Midwest Horse Fair, themed “Horse Tales,” takes place April 11 to 13 at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, Wisconsin.

As a clinician, Karazissis focuses on equitation and correct execution of the hunter-jumper discipline. He is known for his positive and friendly attitude, particularly as an equestrian trainer and clinician, as well as his penchant for applying lessons learned in the saddle to daily life and the development of personal character.

“[Our] priorities are: healthy horses, happy people, educated riders, and kids learning life lessons. Then we think about winning,” Karazissis has said.
