H&8th returns to Midtown OKC this Friday, with food trucks and live music galore. Multiple Midtown City blocks will be blocked off and foot traffic only will be allowed. First shift seems to be many young families and extended families, as the evening progresses, the crowd and music change to match and they even offer late night DJ for those without the kids who want to hang on in club fashion until early morn. Something for everyone.
This version of "big city" type event has only recently been introduced here, and has been packed every session.
PARKING happens to the EAST and North and WEST of the venue, which is North HUDSON AVENUE from 6th to 8th. Best bets for parking last time, were lots NORTH of 10th and Hudson, FYI. Dress comfortably, as you'll be hanging outside and may have a few blocks walk to get to the venue. Okay, they say to bring pets.

This was packed fairly early on. There is a lawn by the Federal building, but the street space did just fine as a squat spot for many. There is a market attached to this whole process... where vendors sell fresh local produce and other items. Last time, everything from flowers, to fruit and veg, clothes, scarves, jewelry and body products.
