On Tuesday, Oscar-winning actress and fashion icon Gwyneth Paltrow was dubbed People Magazine’s Most Beautiful Woman 2013. In the behind the scenes video shoot for People Magazine, Gwyneth shares, "I honestly thought someone was playing a joke on me," when she received the email stating she had been awarded the cover of People’s Most Beautiful People issue.
Gwyneth also shares in the behind the scenes video that her definition of beauty has changed now that she has gotten older, "I see so much now how beauty really does, as cliché as it sounds, emanate from within." She states, "I feel my most beautiful when I am truly myself. Meaning, when I accept exactly where I am in time and space, and I'm not judging myself in any way, and I feel that I have the peace that comes with loving yourself and all of your flaws.”
40 year old Paltrow, married Chris Martin, front man of the rock group Coldplay in 2003 and together they have two children; Apple (8) and Moses (7). Following the birth of her first child, Gwyneth opted to be more selective in her acting roles allowing her to spend more time at home. In 2008 she created lifestyle publication, Goop.com and has since authored two cookbooks, “My Father’s Daughter: Delicious, Easy Recipes Celebrating Family & Togetherness” and “"It's All Good: Delicious Easy Recipes That Will Make You Look Good and Feel Great.
On the heels of being awarded People's Most Beautiful Woman, Paltrow attended the premier of her upcoming film, Iron Man 3 at the El Capitan Theatre yesterday in a risqué Antonio Berardi gown. Berardi's gown featured sheer black paneling on each side revealing a side view of her unclad bum and toned figure. Gwyneth's buzz-worthy bod can be attributed to healthy eating and 2 hours of exercise every morning. Gwyneth is known for her classic beauty and chooses to go makeup free when she is at home with her family but shared her go-to products with People Magazine, "I wear cream blush and mascara. Mascara makes you look awake and like you've had a good night's sleep even if you haven't..."
Earlier this month, Gwyneth teamed up with her trainer Tracy Anderson and longtime hairstylist, David Babaii to launch David Babaii Blow Dry Bar in Anderson’s Brentwood, Calif., studio.
Kelly's product recommendations:
Cream blush is a great choice, especially for women with dry or more mature skin. My pick: Hourglass Illume Creme-to-Powder Duo in Sunset Available at Barney's, Bergdorf and Sephora
Mascara should be chosen based on your lash type first and desired effect second. For thin lashes choose a formula that is designed to lengthen. Thin lashes can not support the weight of heavy volumizing formulas and will create a clumpy mess. Kelly's pick Mirabella Lash Essential Mascara with a base coat of Lash Definition Primer also by Mirabella.
Kelly's mascara pick for creating additional volume on a full lash line: DiorShow Black Out Mascara
