Us Weekly reports that Paltrow and Carter recently had “a heart-to-heart” conversation, ending their public feud. “Gwyneth and Graydon spoke on the phone a few weeks ago,” an insider told Us, adding, “They worked out some of their differences.”
The duo’s feud stemmed from reports that Paltrow reportedly tried to prevent Vanity Fair from publishing a somewhat scandalous story about her. Vanity Fair reported planned to expose Paltrow’s alleged infidelity, which are according to a Paltrow source are completely unfounded.
“The story was never going to be as bad as tabloids were guessing. That whole angle about the alleged affairs was something that was made up by Page Six and was never something that anyone at Vanity Fair believed was legitimate and was never going to be in a story they were working on.”
Paltrow later sent an email to her friends asking them to not to talk to the magazine.
Cater later confirmed that he planned to do a story on the star. “We started a story on her. We have a very good writer and it'll run. She sort of forced my hand,” he noted.
According to OMG! Yahoo, the story would have been an investigative exposé on Paltrow’s friendship with Elle Macpherson’s husband, Jeff Soffer.
