The NY Daily News”added that “the Oscar-winning actress announced the couple’s split Tuesday in a post titled “Conscious Uncoupling” on her lifestyle website Goop.”
“It is with hearts full of sadness that we have decided to separate,” the couple said in their joint statement on Goop. ”We have been working hard for well over a year, some of it together, some of it separated, to see what might have been possible between us, and we have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate,” added the news report.
As a family they are still together
“We are, however, and always will be a family, and in many ways we are closer than we have ever been,” they added jointly on Goop. “We are parents first and foremost, to two incredibly wonderful children and we ask for their and our space and privacy to be respected at this difficult time. We have always conducted our relationship privately, and we hope that as we consciously uncouple and co-parent, we will be able to continue in the same manner.”
Paltrow, 41, and Martin, 37, wed in December 2003 and are parents to two children: daughter Apple, 9, and son Moses, 7, ads The NY Daily News. “News of the split comes one month after Paltrow vehemently denied rumors of an affair with entertainment lawyer Kevin Yorn. The buzz quietly surfaced on Whisper, an anonymous secret sharing app, following Vanity Fair editor Graydon Carter’s announcement that his magazine would not be publishing a rumored “epic takedown” of the actress,” added The NY Daily News.
"This is clearly a fabricated story with no credibility at all," Paltrow's publicist, Stephen Huvane, said at the time. “While the actress has gushed about her relationship with Martin, telling Good Housekeeping last summer that marrying the Coldplay front man was the best decision of her life, she’s also been candid about the struggles the two have experienced,” adds The NY Daily News."It's hard being married. You go through great times, you go through terrible times. We're the same as any couple," she told Glamour UK last May, added The NY Daily News.
“I've learned more about myself being married than anything else. I hate to say, 'We've got it worked out,' because you never know what's going to happen, but we laugh, we're good friends, we like to do the same stuff,’ added the report.
