What do you do when bad fashion happens to good people? That was the question to ask when 'Game Of Thrones' actress Gwendoline Christie hit the red carpet on June 16, 2014 at the Fragrance Foundation Awards. Gwendoline attended the event in a Giles Deacon gown from the designer's 2015 Resort Collection according to TomAndLorenzo.com.
The British actress who stands an amazing 6' 3" could not even carry her pink flamingo emblazoned white silk frock with extending train. It is hard to imagine what it would have looked like on someone shorter. The dress was squared off at the neckline and included tiny spaghetti straps and life sized pink flamingos standing in a row. A train when extended showed the birds in a line formation. The dress was simply awful and it did nothing to enhance Gwendoline's figure or her height.
Gwendoline added white pointy Louboutin pumps which were too heavy for the light nature of the gown fabric and a fabric clutch that did not work either. Don't you think some fun jewelry might have balanced the look. She added nothing. There were no fabulous long drop earrings or colorful bangles.
For makeup Gwendoline selected a washed out look at a time when her makeup screamed for a pop of a bright lip color. Doesn't this look make you wonder if she has a stylist? The next question is what do these birds have to do with fragrance? Perhaps they stink.
The good news is that everyone is a fan of this actress no matter what she wears. The Fragrance Foundation recognizes achievements in the perfume industry and thankfully they do not recognize bad fashion.
A shout out goes to Ms.Taylor Swift for winning Fragrance Celebrity Of The Year.
