While many have heard of the shocker/punk/metal band GWAR some still have not. GWAR hit the scene in 1984, and has since rose to become a beloved metal band of many. Today brings sad news to fans all over the world, as lead man Dave Brockie, better known as Oderus Urungus has died.

"At approximately 6:53 p.m. on Sunday, Richmond Police were called to a residence in the 4800 block of West Seminary Avenue for a report of a deceased individual," said Richmond Police, while also stating "When officers arrived, they found David M. Brockie, 50, deceased inside the home. Detectives do not suspect foul play at this time and the Medical Examiner's Office will determine cause of death." This comes as a shock to many fans, just as a year ago they lost another member of the band.

It seems that Brockie has finally left this planet, and shall raise hell in other dimensions. Gwar has a massive following and it is to no shock that many are mourning the loss of this creative yet rebellious front man. More details to be reported once they are released.
