Big changes are happening in America at a rapid pace as the Obama Administration lifted a ban on women fighting on the front lines in battle. The military isn't running short of able-bodied men, so many people are wondering what is the governments motive in all this. The sudden change allowing women in combat and special ops have military women excited while other military men and leaders are not happy.
Women take up 15% of the military roles and many are excited to be allowed on the front lines and a part of special operations; they're saying, "It's about time!" American servicewomen who want to serve front line combat were only allowed support roles like flying fighter jets or staffing submarines until now.
Military leaders will be watching female soldiers closely to see if they fit into male roles equally without suffering more injuries than men do. It remains to be seen what's behind the change with the changing the Obama administration has up its sleeve by offering women equal rights while serving alongside men.
Some folks feel if Obama and the military gives women this large platform in the military then something must be wanted in return. In looking at his cleverness in staging middle-class taxpayers as cheerleaders during the fiscal cliff drama and getting support for what those cheerleaders thought would not be a tax hike, one has to wonder what they are thinking now that tax time has came around.
Then there was the quick-thinking emotional appeal on the people to use children in the spotlight to urge the people to accept the nearly instant gun ban readily. One has to wonder what's up with women on front lines.
2013 Assault Weapons Ban List
Barrack Obama is a "give and take" president, if he gives something he wants something in return. Perhaps he'll move women up the ranks if they say yes to the big question of the year, "Will you fire on American citizens?"
During election time, when Hurricane Sandy stormed through New York and New Jersey residents gave Obama appeared to give a huge show of support giving away free gas and promising to help everyone affected by Hurricane Sandy. After the election the cold harsh reality (winter actually) has set in and the people are homeless or held up in hotels temporarily. The limelight has faded, the Obama family sleeps soundly at night while other families worry what tomorrow will bring.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), a department of the U.S. government, isn't helping everyone as promised. One couple who happen to share the same last name but are not related were denied FEMA assistance simply because they couldn't prove they were not related.
One ban was lifted but they certainly have put all their energy and schemes to applying the 2013 Assault Weapon Ban in a matter of days with the help of Diane Feinstein and the executive pen of Obama, who seems to be testing how much American's are going to allow him to write executive orders at whim. According to CNN there were 23 executive orders for the gun ban.
There are many town hall meetings across the U.S. that are debating the gun ban, many argue that banning guns isn't the answer, and could be the first step toward banning all guns.
Barrack Obama's secure spot in the White House for another four years after a questionable election and an eager push of his agenda has head's spinning. Many think these changes are for the best interests of all the people; however, many are turning a blind eye to the truth. Perhaps when his supporters feel their way around the truth it won't be too late for America.
