Police are searching for a man who allegedly pulled a woman into some woods and raped her at gunpoint almost two weeks ago in southwest Atlanta.
on Thursday, they released a composite sketch of the suspect, hoping that someone in the public can help identify him.
The alleged rape happened on Feb. 15 in the area of 1860 Childress Drive, according to Atlanta police.
The 26-year-old female victim advised that she was walking in the area when she was pulled into the woods by a black male,” police spokesman Officer John Chafee said.
“The male suspect sexually assaulted the victim and threatened to shoot her if she screamed.”
He was last seen walking on Childress Drive toward Cascade Road, Officer Chafee said.
Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to contact Investigators at (404) 546-4260 or Crime Stoppers at (404) 577-8477. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $2000.
