Obama has nominated Vivek Murthy, a radical anti-gun doctor, to serve as America's next Surgeon General. Murthy wants national gun licensing and all doctors across America to harass ordinary Americans if they own firearms.

According to Harvard Medical School website, Murthy completed his residency in internal medicine in 2006 and now serves as a Hospitalist at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. His clinical interests are in health care policy, hospital medicine, inpatient medicine and medical education. Being the most generous possible, then, he has been in medical practice less than 8 years and has spent virtually all of those 8 years, as this article reveals, either in charity work in foreign countries or in pursuit of academia inside a hospital framework. Read more about Surgeon General Nominee Vivek Murthy potential impact here.

In 2011, Murthy was appointed by Obama to serve on the U.S. Presidential Advisory Council on Prevention, Health Promotion, and Integrative and Public Health within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

Murthy says that the second Amendment has created a "public health crisis," and states that he will use the position of Surgeon General to campaign against gun rights. On October 16, 2012 he even tweeted "Tired of politicians playing politics w/gun, putting lives at risk b/c they're scared of NRA. Guns are a health care issue"

He founded "Doctors for America," a pro-Obama campaign group that fought for the passage of ObamaCare and has been one of the most vocal advocates for extremely strict gun control over the last two years.

He does not believe in the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, and he is not afraid to say so. He believes that “assault weapons” should be banned and mandatory licensing of all gun owners.

Mr. Murthy's nomination has already cleared a Senate committee. Next stop is a full vote on the Senate floor. This extremist nomination is facing opposition in the Senate; however, that may not be enough to stop it. Find out how you can help stop the nomination of anti-gun rights advocate Vivek Murthy for Surgeon General here.

If he becomes Surgeon General, Mr. Murthy will use his position to promote his anti-gun agenda. He wants to force family doctors to start policing the nation, and to start cracking down on gun owners. Murthy wants doctors to turn every family that has a gun in to the federal government.

This man has no public health experience. He is simply a left-wing political activist Harvard Medical School professor, who wants use the position of Surgeon General to ban guns.

Just imagine this extremist, in his white lab coat, going on television, and visiting public schools.

He will spew his anti-gun rhetoric all over America and will argue that gun ownership has created a public health crisis that justifies the crackdown on gun owners.

His comments probably will even be used to justify Barack Obama issuing "emergency" executive orders, designed to undermine the Second Amendment.
