Conservatives, Libertarians and Independents have been most patient with liberals and leftists. As a cohesive liberty movement, we have been very tolerant and given leftism a chance to show what it can do in all the areas of its promise. In social justice, it has failed. In Economy, the left has failed. It has claimed that it has not articulated its very own health care reform message well, and asks for chance after chance to explain it again and again. Isn’t it just possible that liberalism stinks and people can now discern the difference between good governance and power grabs?
Saying that you cannot get your message out is self-deluding. People hear it fine, and they just don’t like it and they do not trust officials anymore. My own theory is that liberals are most self-deluded and suffer under the anxiety of long-standing defense mechanism of old wounds. Simple. We all have some sort of excess baggage, but what makes the difference between an adult who works without a net and an adult who is an injustice collector and who excludes himself from among the named accused is a matter of degree only.
We all have old wounds, but most of us get over them, do not see them all around us. We can relate to life’s realities of others, and we own our own errors of judgment as we own our own accomplishments. There is no possibility of this in the decerebrate view of liberalism. All blame is external, all credit is due them. This is the retort of the liberal in health care reform: it’s everybody else’s fault. Externalizing.
When a defense mechanism is working properly, it will fight for its own survival to protect the person from some old anxiety. This is how people can see things differently. But it wouldn’t be ownership in adult life choices if the sufferer continues to get a pass for hostility to others, abuses of powers in office, and other cheats of the system for this self-indulgent foible. In short, they know what they are doing when it comes to messing with the economy, and sending up policies and programs doomed to failure.
They know.
This makes them Ignorodic. Ignorotic is my combination of the words ignorant and idiotic. Liberals, by their own method of grappling with old wounds, are ignorant of our way of life, our justices, our truths, values and Independence because they conflict with their defense mechanism. The second part is their choosing — choosing – to remain that way, Idiotic. In short, they won’t listen. They’ll blame others for why they can’t convince us of their nonsense.
Idiot comes from the Greek concept of one in private station. Self-amused, emphasis on self. Aren’t a lot of this generation of officials self-indulgent to a point of endangering the United States? Some of them even took money from Saddam Hussein. Too much self, and not enough selflessness.
The time for patience and tolerance is over. The time for courtesy and American open-mindedness have given the officials more than a chance; we’ve given chance after chance after chance, and we’ve been played for our cooperation. Some of us have had such an open mind than their brains have fallen out. For them I have the word decerebrate.
This is how we need to see the landscape in 2010, and Gun Control needs to be high on the list of items new candidates are to remedy. All of the boondoggles are related to gun Control.
Failing to understand that the citizenry is the sovereign is what makes self-indulgent, narcissistic officials Ignorodic. This is what makes them so quarrelsome, as if they didn’t know.
Ignorodic.

That's a cleaver combination of words John, but I don't believe the enemies of Freedom and Liberty are ignorant or idiotic. They are, I believe, willfully subservient to their nwo/owg masters. I would combine those two words into, willservient! These people know what they are doing and lick the boots of their masters. Saying they are dumb or misinformed only gives them a cover for their treason. I do like that word though, ignorodic. I've read a lot of comments on web sites by people who are ignorodic. You could say that they are helpful to willservients.
Hi, Emmett. I wrote that they know what they are doing. I believe strongly that they are operating on old anxieties which coceal truths from them, but give them just enough glimpse for them to sense danger. Otherwise, therapy on the couch wouldn't work.
They know what they are doing, alright.
The Stockholm Syndrome is a memorable example of a defense mechanism. Patty Hearst believed in her captors, but only as a mechanism to avoid the unbearable reality of being taken. This, for some, is so traumatic, they would rather embrace them than try and process the trauma otherwise.
This is at the heart - I believe - of all liberalism.
This syndrome has been discussed elsewhere (especially in the recognition of threat levels, for example) but using different terminology - setting up a 2 x 2 matrix of conscious/unconscious and aware/unaware states. Instead of "ignorodic" you could say that someone was unconsciously unaware, the dangerous polar opposite of being consciously aware. In between you have the less dangerous unconsciously aware and consciously unaware.
Love it!
My theory is that liberals become liberals due to some experience(s) making for old wounds.
A conservative is a liberal who's been mugged.
A liberal is a conservative who's been arrested.
