New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg is financing gun control ads. But not in New York City or the state of New York. The mayor has financed an ad for gun control in the state of Virginia. And I say hooray for Bloomberg.
ARLINGTON, Va. — Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg is getting involved in an election other than his own this November, thanks to an issue he has long cared about: gun control.
Hoping to make a splash in the Virginia governor’s race, Mr. Bloomberg showed up here Monday to unveil a new commercial criticizing former Attorney General Robert F. McDonnell, the presumptive Republican nominee, who is a strong gun-rights supporter.
Mr. Bloomberg was joined about a dozen people, including survivors of the Virginia Tech shootings, their relatives, and Tatyana Timoshenko, the mother of Police Officer Russel Timoshenko, who was fatally shot during a traffic stop in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, in 2007.
The latest serial shootings still have not caused the public to wake up to the fact that "gun control" is needed. The Mayor is lobbying for a simple closure of the gun show loophole and hopefully this will bring attention to this great need.
Gun control has another champion, this time a Republican, Mayor Michael Bloomberg. Chicago City Hall Examiner.

So you're not only a moron, you're another closet Nazi like your champion, Mayor Bloomberg. I guess you figure that after he destroys the U.S. Constittution that he swore to uphold and all the personal freedoms it guarantees (like the right of brain dead liberals like you to spew out your foolishness), that he'll have a place for you in his new world order. I'm sure you'll fit right in.
John, I"m mystified and floriated at people like you, who actually think they know something about something, when what they say or write proves that they actually have NO real knowledge or understanding of that something. I'm quite aware of the many many things I know very little or nothing about, and therefor would never try to educate others about or even discuss those subjects. That's why I can't understand how you imagine that you think you know anything at all about guns, civil rights, human nature, criminal behavior, or American history, when you clearly don't. Yet you write article after article about these things in your gun control blitherings, as if you do--sort of like a man walking around with his pants down around his ankles thinking he's dressed for the prom. Why, I wonder? Why? Why?
I'm sure you do "say hooray for (the criminal traitor)Bloomberg". Doesn't ANYONE in Chicago, or all of Illinois, for that matter, have ANY knowledge of or love for personal freedom or the other rights in the Constitution? Or is there some kind of a cloud over all of you that turns you all into republic hating, socialist, communist, tyranny-loving machines? I still remember the night of the blue helmits, when, on national TV, Mayor Daley #1 turned his baton wielding thugs against Americans protesting the unlawful, unpopular war in Viet Nam. As a group, exemplified by the hate and stupidity written here by you, Mr Presta, you folks in Chicago don't seem to have changed much.
