Liberal Maryland democrats are expected to introduce legislation that will put restaurants and serve steaks and liquor out of business any minute now. In addition, much of the dinner ware in private homes will be confiscated. All this will happen in the name of protecting society.
Restaurants allow customers and employees to use knives. The businesses also serve alcohol. Booze is a mind-altering drug rendering its “victims” in a mentally ill-type state. Knives kill people.
Gov. Martin O’Malley and state Sen. Brian Frosh (D-Montgomery), chairman of the Senate Judicial Proceedings Committee, are convinced prohibiting guns from the mentally ill will prevent murders such as Dayvon Green committed at the University of Maryland College Park earlier in February.
So it only makes sense the comrades in Annapolis will protect you from knife attacks after the killing of a University of Maryland Eastern Shore student Feb. 17. Edmond St. Clair, of Anne Arundel County, was stabbed in the chest during an altercation on the campus.
Unless liberal leaders think the lives of the whites killed by Green are more valuable than St. Clair’s, killings in a major media market are more important than those in the sticks, guns are more dangerous than knives or some sick combination of above, the only logical next step is to impose draconian knife legislation.
For instance, any knife with a sharp point should be banned. That would keep butter and dinner excepted. Establishments with steak knives at tables or even bigger, sharper knives in the kitchen would either find alternatives or close. Homes with sharp silverware? Give it to the state.
