Disgruntled mom has Gun at Chuck E. Cheese. According to an ABC report from earlier today, a dispute between two women caused a gun at Chuck E. Cheese incident. Authorities say a mother pulled a gun on another mom inside the restaurant on Monday night.
Tawana Bourne, 30, pulled a ".380-caliber handgun and chambered a round during an argument with another woman at the children's game and pizza restaurant in Newington on." Both women were at the restaurant with their children when the incident occurred.
Chuck E. Cheese employees called the cops, and Bourne was charged with reckless endangerment, risk of injury to children, threatening, and breach of peace. Bourne posed a $50,000 bail, was released, and ordered to appear in New Britain Superior Court on Feb. 19.
Weapons are banned at Chuck E. Cheese restaurants, and since the gun incident, the company has stated management is evaluating security.
Bourne declined to comment on the gun at Chuck E. Cheese incident.
What do you think of the gun at Chuck E. Cheese? To pull a gun over an argument is bad enough, but Borne did so in an area full of children, in front of another woman who was also there with her children. That seems over the top.
