Gulf shrimp twice FDA poison level

Photo: Dr. Russel Blaylock

Last week's news about Gulf shrimp testing at twice the level of poison that FDA deems acceptable was worthy, but equally so was that a news station creatively and courageously investigated the "safe Gulf seafood" myth. Within days, shrimpers reported pulling tar in their nets and much of the Gulf shrimp waters were closed, off-limits for shrimping.

Orange County, Florida's WFTV Channel 9 shrimp test differed to the government sniff test it taught shrimpers to use in "Sniff testing workshops." According to its report, "Laboratory Test Results Raise Concern Over Gulf Seafood":

1. Channel 9 investigators ordered raw shrimp over the Internet.

2. Then, it shipped th shrimp to a private lab.

The lab scientists liquefied the shrimp and used the most sensitive testing possible, looking for any signs of petroleum residue.

"The scientist who tested the shrimp said she would not eat it based on the results, and the results may surprise consumers and shrimpers," reported Channel 9, proving the laboratory results for public view. (See: Laboratory Results: Analysis of Gulf Shrimp)

Those surprised are those hanging onto the notion that they can believe and trust government agencies in bed with corporations and military with a less than humane agenda.

In July, Dr. Russell Blaylock stated:

"You can't count on government agencies like the FDA and the EPA to protect you... [T]hey don't share their concerns over contaminants with us — the general public — through the media or through public alerts." (Censored Gulf survival news: Dr exposes contaminated fish. Urgent special report, Dupre, D., Examiner, July 16, 2010)

Following Dr. Gina Solomon's NRDC articles: "Gulf Shrimp Testing: Is a Dozen Samples in 5000 Square Miles Enough to Reassure You?" and her article, "Six Months, Five Shrimp, and One Nasty Mess: Health & Seafood Safety Concerns from BP Spill Still Linger in Gulf Today," Project Gulf Impact interviewed her for a video with life-saving information for the general public. (See: For sale: Untested Gulf Shrimp)

The WKTV investigation lab scientists found in the shrimp a toxic hydrocarbon petroleum by-product called Anthracene - at levels double what the FDA finds acceptable.

It was soon announced that NOAA closed 4,200 square miles of Gulf Waters to Royal Red Shrimping. Shrimpers had been pulling in tar balls and oiled shrimp. In attempt to protect itself, NOAA released a public statement that it was closing the waters in "an abundance of caution."

WKTV demonstrated that its order of Gulf shrimp was poisonous.

WKTV also demonstrated how to report news that is in best interest of public health, safety and well-being.

The Obama administration's "Magic Vanishing Oil" PR campaign has resulted in injury to millions of people ill-advised. Still, most still do not realize their air, water and food are tainted with crude oil and Corexit that cause injiry and death, sooner or laterl.

The sooner other networks report as WKTV has, the better the chance more people will survive.

Simply put, the Government has no reason to tell you the truth...PERIOD.
If they don't, nothing happens to them.
If you believe them, you die.
    Pretty simple.
