Heavy oil approaches the beach in Orange Beach, Ala., Saturday, June 12, 2010 AP Photo/Dave Martin
June 13, 2010 - Yesterday, as the fight continued to capture the oil gushing out a mile down on the seafloor in the Gulf of Mexico (live stream) from the BP's Deepwater Horizon ruptured well, the beaches of Alabama saw the first heavy onslaught of crude. It was not unexpected, but the timing and the amount of oil in this wave of black and reddish brown that hit Gulf Shores and Orange Beach was suprising.

That is some bad photography. Cameraman, focus on holding the camera VERY still and panning slowly.
it's easy to criticize from the arm chair... why don't you try using a hand held camera and say focused on the subject while the copter pilot flies over it...
Thanks for posting this. I just had to cancel my trip to Orange Beach, but now I am glad I did.
come on to the beach its not bad at all
