Guitar virtuoso Ethan Brosh is ready to Live the Dream

Guitar virtuoso Ethan Brosh had a very busy 2013, and this year is looking like it is going to be even bigger for the young fret wizard. This month, the Israeli born Brosh checked in to talk about his new sophomore instrumental album, “Live the Dream” as well as his band, Burning Heat.

The last time we spoke with Brosh he was touring the U.S. with guitar icon Yngwie Malmsteen; a tour which found him splitting his set between his solo work and with his 80s style metal band, Burning Heat. Ethan talks below about how the fans responded to both aspects of his work as well as what he took away from watching from side stage one of his heroes perform each night.

Taking the lessons he learned from recording his debut instrumental album, “Out of Oblivion” Brosh had a more decisive vision for “Live the Dream” and part of that included reaching out to legendary producer Max Norman (Ozzy Osbourne, Megadeth, Y&T, Savatage). He managed to coax Norman out of retirement to handle the album’s mix. If that were not impressive enough he tapped iconic engineer Bob Ludwig to master the record. Ludwig has mastered more albums than anyone else in the industry including albums for Led Zeppelin, Rush, Jimi Hendrix, the Rolling Stones, Def Leppard, Nirvana, The Who, Bruce Springsteen, Queen, and the 2014 Grammy winning album by Daft Punk.

If all that talent and support were not enough to establish the respect Brosh has earned in the industry, drum legend Carmine Appice released the album on his new label Rocker Records. As the cherry on top, former Angels of Babylon cohort and Megadeth bassist Dave Ellefson joined Ethan on two tracks from the new record.

Ethan also discusses working on the second Angels of Babylon CD last year and how things are progressing with the debut Burning Heat record. Check out the full interview with Brosh above and pick up your copy of “Live the Dream“.
