Crank it up this weekend in Balboa Park!
The Reuben H. Fleet Science Center in Balboa Park, San Diego will be cranking it's science up to 11 with it's new exhibit Guitar - The instrument that Rocked the World. This weekend marks the West Coast's premier of this rockin' exhibit, which will run through April 6, 2014.
Then entirety of this exhibit includes 60 guitars, over 100 artifacts, and 15 interactive exhibits. Not-so-hidden in the guitar collection is the world's largest guitar, certified by the Guiness Book of World Records, measuring 43.5 feet long. Stroll through the collection, learn a little history, play some tunes, learn about distortion, and more. This exhibit is a treat for the guitar fan as well as the classical instrument musician.
The Reuben H. Fleet Science Center is not stopping their rockin' with the exhibit alone. The Fleet has many activities in store with this exhibit. Special engagements of Rolling Stones at the MAX will be showing on the dome theater as well as a concert series planned on special nights in the museum. These not to be missed opportunities are just a few things that San Diego's favorite museum has stored up their sleeve.
