The Norn in Guild Wars 2 are a people from the snowy regions. They were forced out of their glacial homeland by a dragon in one epic battle. They haven’t given up however, they will continue to live and fight until their dyeing breath. [A full list of Guild Wars 2 Races]
Norn are tied with the Charr as the tallest race in the game. They’re not as bulky as the Charr, rather they’re tall and sleek. Norn are actually a variant of the human race. Also they’re favorite color is apparently blue. [Guild Wars 2 main page]
The description for the Norn, as quoted from the in game character creation page, reads the following:
This race of towering hunters experienced a great defeat when the Ice Dragon drove them from their glacial homeland. Nevertheless, they won’t let one lost battle – however punishing – dampen their enthusiasm for life and the hunt. They know that only the ultimate victor achieves legendary rewards.
The Norn are very Scottish type people from the sounds of it. They seem to be the brutish yet nice side of humans. Less generic, less wimpy, but more hunting oriented.
