Asura are the shortest race in Guild Wars 2. They’re long eared creatures who rely heavily on magic. They’re also very cocky, believing that someday they will rule the world. [Guild Wars 2 main page]
The description for the Asura, as quoted from the in game character creation page, reads the following:
These alchemagical inventors may be short in stature, but they’re intellectual giants. Among the asura, it’s not the strong who survive, but the clever. Other races believe they should rule by virtue of their power and strength, but they’re deluding themselves. In due time, all will serve the asura.
As you can see they’re very cocky and intellectual. They believe that intelligence is the way of the future, and that with invention and creativity they will destroy all in their path.
