The user interface in Guild Wars 2 is designed very well. There’s the stereo-typical chat window in the bottom left which players use to communicate. All of the player’s abilities are at the bottom middle of the screen. The player’s health is also at the very center and bottom of the screen. [Guild Wars 2 main page]
The experience Bar is at the extreme bottom of the interface, showing what level a player is and a bar to show how close he or she is to the next level. At the bottom is where players also swap out their skills with the little up arrows above them.
At the bottom right of the user interface is the mini map. It can be zoomed in or out, it can be used to get to the world map (or the M key) and it also displays quest objectives, waypoints, merchants, and more.
At the top right of the screen is quest log. It shows all the current nearby events, as well as what the player has to do to progress through his or her main story. Whenever there’s a local event though, it shows what the objective is and what a player has to do to win the event.
Last but not least is the top left of the screen, where the player can find all of his or her shortcut keys, as well as the party info, if he or she is in one. There are links to the: Game menu, contacts, hero, inventory, mail, black lion trading company, guild, world vs world, PvP, and hints.
The user interface in Guild Wars 2 is very sound. It’s well put together and one of the best out there. It’s easy to use, easy to work with, and extremely helpful. Players won’t feel lost at all with the user interface of Guild Wars 2.
