Emotes in Guild Wars 2 are a little lacking. They have the power and intensity of most other MMORPG’s, if not more. The only real problem with their lack of abundance; there are less than 20 known emotes in Guild Wars 2. [Guild Wars 2 main page]
The list of known emotes, as quoted from the Guild Wars 2 wiki:
/beckon
/bow
/cheer
/cower
/cry
/dance
/kneel
/laugh
/no
/point
/ponder
/salute
/shrug
/sit
/sleep
/surprised
/threaten
/wave
/yes
/emote
These are all the known emotes in Guild Wars 2. They’re very fun to use, and the /emote one is nice in order to make up your own emotes, without the physical movements of course.
Emotes are an important part of any MMORPG. It’s good that in Guild Wars 2 emotes are as involved as ever. Players don’t seem to use them very often in Guild Wars 2, but when they do, it usually turns out to be a very comical or entertaining situation.
These emotes are nice for players who want to role-play. Emotes are absolutely essential to roleplaying, especially the /emote, emote.
