Gucci menswear handbags fall 2012 Milan Fashion Week

Gucci sent their fall/winter 2012/2013 menswear collection down the Milan Fashion Week runway today and it was filled with texture, dark colors and a vintage flair. The handbags on Gucci’s fall 2012 runway offered exotic skins, vintage washes, mixed fabrications and patterned velvet; offering men an alternative to basic black for the upcoming fall 2012 season.

Gucci’s fall 2012 handbag collection for men included oversized bowlers, large top handle satchels and weekenders. Gucci showed classic fabrications such as black and chocolate brown exotics as well as on-trend and unexpected textures. The alternate fabrications included burnout velvet, patterned velvet and pony hair. Gucci also showed patchwork when they mixed exotic skins with velvet and pony hair on their weekender bags.

The overall color palette on Gucci’s fall 2012 menswear runway offered more choices than previously seen during Milan Fashion Week. While most designers are showing predominantly black collections with a splash of neutrals, Gucci is offering men deep, dark turquoise, rich burgundy, chocolate brown, splashed of ivory and of course basic black.
