Even if you have been living under a rock for the past year, you know that interest in the Guardians of the Galaxy is at an all time high thanks to Marvel's latest hollywood blockbuster. Fat Movie Guy's Craig Kandiko reviewed the film to high praise, even going as far as to imply that it very well may be even better than Joss Whedon’s The Avengers. I didn't think that level of praise would be feasibly possible considering the movie stars a talking racoon and Vin Diesel playing a one-liner spewing tree, but his praise was enough to get me excited to see the film.

Are you excited for Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy? Do you also happen to still be playing Minecraft on the Xbox 360 or Xbox One? If you answered yes to both of of those, then I have some exciting news for you! The entire main cast of the Guardians of the Galaxy are coming to both Xbox versions of Minecraft.

Marvel editor Ben Morse confirmed on Twitter that Star-Lord, Drax the Destroyer, Gamora, Rocket Raccoon, and Groot will be included in the Minecraft skin pack. No word yet on a release date, price, or if a release on other platforms is in the cards, but expect the skin pack to be hitting the Xbox Live Marketplace fairly soon for your pixelated enjoyment, for the price of $1.99.

As I'm sure you know, paying for skin packs is a phenomenon exclusive to console versions of Minecraft. However, there are many Minecraft skin resources freely available for the PC version. So if you want to play as a member of the Guardians of the Galaxy but don't have a Microsoft console handy, you can download some painstakingly similar Guardians of the Galaxy skins on MinecraftSkins.com today.
