According to on Jan.17, Zoe Saldana, who will be playing the deadly Gamora character in James Gunn's "Guardians of the Galaxy", seems to have inadvertently reveal a spoiler in regards to the Avengers team of characters. Apparently, she said something along the lines of fighting with the the earthbound team and Saldana mentions she has never even aware of this character line-up.

“I was like, Guardians? There's a person that's a tree and there's a raccoon? Apparently they fight with The Avengers. I didn't even know who The Avengers were!"

Saldana was pretty much clueless to these comic book characters altogether when approached by Marvel Studios for her role. The possible spoiler comes into play when she admittedly said has no experience with these characters thus it couldn't be possible to have pick up the revealed information from any written format. Some may have interpreted her "fight with" comment as going up against the Avengers, when it could be argued that they could be fighting alongside with them.

Also, Chris Pratt, who will be playing Star Lord, alluded to a possible cross pollination of the characters. Pratt suggested that since both the cosmic and Earthbound teams exist in the same universe, it's possible they could cross paths.

"Guardians of the Galaxy" is scheduled to be released come Aug. 1.
