Guard pregnant by cop killer? A corrections officer, who is now carrying a baby for an inmate convicted of a double-murder, said she was caught up, weak and wanted affection. Tuesday, the ex-federal prison guard was criminally charged in New York, while the unborn child's father awaits his fate from the homicide convictions.
NBC News, in a Feb. 5 report said federal prosecutors filed papers in court Tuesday and charged Nancy Gonzalez, 29, with the illegal affair.
Sources say Gonzalez (shown here) had the illicit affair with Ronell Wilson at the Metropolitan Detention Center, where she worked on the night shift.
The New Times noted that illegal sex acts went on for several months in plain view of other inmates. She faces up to 15 years in prison because an inmate cannot give consent for sex.
While records didn't say how long the pair was romantically involved, apparently the guard became pregnant by the cop killer back in June of last year.
"I took a chance because I was so vulnerable and wanted to be loved and now I am carrying his child," Gonzalez said, according to legal documents. However, there is no word is she has a lawyer at this time.
The cop killer the guard is allegedly pregnant for was convicted of murdering two undercover police officers in a drug deal that went badly. However, he caught a break when an appeals court threw out the conviction in 2010.
A new jury panel will likely decide his punishment. However, Wilson's attorney says his client is mentally disabled and not eligible for the death penalty.
