Silverton, Ore. -- A seven pound cat named Addy Tudy is working hard to keep her home safe. On September 3, KATU reported that this couragous cat helped prevent a break in.
It all happened early Sunday morning around 3:30 AM while Rose Taylor was sleeping. Addy Tudy, so named because she had an attitude when she was taken in, heard someone trying to break into the house. Taylor reported Addy started growling, stood up and ran out of the room. “She was telling me something,” Taylor said. She also jumped out of bed, screamed, turned on a light and called 9-1-1.
All of the commotion sucessfully scared the burglar away from Taylor’s house. By the time she looked out the window and saw the burglar, he was accross the street. Taylor was, understandably, shaken by the whole event. “It was really scary. I was shaking like a leaf.”
This isn’t the first attempted break-in in Taylor’s neighborhood. One of her neighbors reported having 4 recent break-ins. Taylor plans to get new treats for her beloved cat and a new lock for her door.
