As Rockstar Games announced earlier this week, the Grand Theft Auto V content creator has now been released which gives fans the ability to build their own deathmatch and race missions inside GTA Online. The developer detailed the creation tools on Wednesday which brings user generation content to Grand Theft Auto for the first time ever.
In addition to the release of the GTA Online content creator, a new title update was also pushed live which brought about a number of changes to Grand Theft Auto V’s single player and multiplayer modes. Several bugs were fixed with the introduction of the patch as well as several new gameplay tweaks. The most interesting changes include the option to run inside player-owned apartments, an RP bonus to those using Free Aim, adjusted mission payouts that increase when playing on higher difficulty, and the ability to enter Passive Move for no in-game charge.
Since the creation tools are in beta, players can only make races and deathmatch style missions at this time. Rockstar Games eventually plans to expand the creator to allow fans to produce a wider range of missions. Additionally, gamers will only receive rewards in user generated missions if the content has become officially verified by the developer. This is to prevent players from benefiting from any number of exploitable scenarios that are likely to occur.
Grand Theft Auto V is out now on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
