GTA V for Wii U, if planned, would include extra features

Grand Theft Auto V, originally planned for a Spring 2013 release date, was recently pushed back to September due to Rockstar Games needing "additional development time" for the game. At first, the game was expected to be released for the PS3 and Xbox 360, but over time, it was eventually confirmed for the PS4 even though it'll be slightly delayed. It's believed by some that Rockstar could be working on a Wii U version of the game as well. Rockstar Games hasn't confirmed any of this, but there are many petitions for a Wii U version of the game.

If GTA V was released for the Wii U console, what could we expect? First off, the game will be on par with the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game without sacrificing any power. This alone will be a relief for Nintendo fans. Also, normal multiplayer features will stay since the Wii U has Nintendo Network capabilities which is on par with Xbox Live and PlayStation Network. It's also important to know that if GTA V was ever brought to the Wii U, it would have the same amount of violence as any other version of the game.

If the game came to the Wii U, it's obvious that the game would take full advantage of the GamePad's 6-inch touchscreen. The possibilities are endless as developers at Rockstar Games could use the GamePad as a map, radio tuner, mission guide and more. Since no other console currently has the game experience that the Wii U offers, It'd be strange for Rockstar Games to avoid a possible Wii U port of the game.

Even though it hasn't been confirmed, Rockstar stated that a Wii U version of the game is still up for consideration. Since they recently announced the PS4 version, they could announce an Xbox 720 and Wii U version at any given moment. If you own a Wii U, you could be in for a treat.
