More details have been confirmed in regards to the "GTA Online" transfer for "GTA 5" on PS4, Xbox One and PC. According to a report from Tehran Chronicle on June 26, Rockstar Games disclosed that the new feature that were announced for the PS4 at Sony Computer Entertainment's press conference during E3 2014 will also be applied to the Xbox One and PC iterations. At the media briefing, an executive from the console manufacturer revealed that players will be able to transfer their multiplayer characters.

Therefore, both PS3 and Xbox 360 players can move their "GTA Online" avatars to the PS4, Xbox One and PC. It is unknown if Rockstar Games would also let fans transfer their progress in the "GTA 5" campaign. However, the import feature for single-player to implement may be difficult due to the different save file formats used on the PS3 and Xbox 360 when compared to the new platforms.

Fans also have other incentives to upgrade to "GTA 5" on PS4, Xbox One and PC. The visuals, for example, were vastly improved with faster frame rate, improved textures as well as a higher native resolution. The development team at Rockstar North also added more immersion into Los Santos as new wildlife and busier car traffic have been implemented in the fictional city and its surrounding areas. All of the "GTA Online" patch updates and DLC should be automatically included in the new versions as well.

"GTA 5" is already a big success from a financial standpoint on the PS3 and Xbox 360. Along with earning revenue up front by selling 33 million copies so far on the two current-generation consoles, the "GTA Online" mode also provided huge supplemental income with its cash card micro-transactions for Rockstar Games. The PS4, Xbox One and PC release date for "GTA 5" should be set sometime during the autumn period in Europe and North America.
