For those looking to get back into Grand Theft Auto Online, you will be pleased to hear that Rockstar Games have released a patch on Oct. 4 addressing some of the game’s issues. The GTA Online patch is currently available for download on PS3 and it will see release on Xbox 360 in the coming hours, Rockstar shared in a press release today.
The download size of the patch for GTA Online is only around 36MB, so the download and installation process is very fast. According to the statement released by Rockstar, there was a PSN server issue that limited the amount of possible concurrent users. As a result, this prevented most players from playing GTA Online together, but this issue has been resolved as of this morning.
"Thank you everyone for continuing to bear with us since Tuesday's initial roll out of Grand Theft Auto Online — we're aware that a variety of technical difficulties have made it difficult to get access and that the experience has been a bit less than smooth for many of you who jumped in straight away," Rockstare shared in a statement today.
Furthermore, Rockstar has opted to disable the ability to purchase GTA$ cash packs until everybody can access GTA Online without problems and all issues have been fixed.
“All of these initial technical issues will be ironed out as soon as we can. Please know that the entire team here at Rockstar and all of our relevant partners are and will continue to be working around the clock to get the experience to be as smooth as possible, as soon as possible,” Rockstar wrote.
Grand Theft Auto Online was launched on Tuesday for Xbox 360 and PS3. The company is asking users to report all problems to the official support page.
