“GTA Online” has gotten off to a bumpy start due to the massive influx of traffic to the game’s servers. Rockstar has been working on fixing the issues but may have bitten off more than they can chew with the release of the online game rapidly after the launch of “GTA V”. The studio has now suspended in-game payments for the glitch online game.
While Rockstar warned gamers that there would be some issues when the online game launched no one anticipated this magnitude of problems. Due to server traffic many players simply aren't able to log into the game. Others are able to log on and watch the games introduction before being disconnected from the game. Previously there was an issue limiting the number of players in a group for those playing on the PlayStation Network. Rockstar says they've fixed the PSN issue.
Rockstar has recently suspended the option to purchase GTA $ cash packs. Players are still able to earn GTA$ through regular gameplay but can’t purchase the packs separately. “For the time being and until we have been able to get everybody access to GTA Online and things are running smoothly, we have disabled the option of purchasable GTA$ cash packs”, as stated on the support site.
Rockstar says they've identified 9 issues, including Cloud Server issues, and are working to find a fix for them. Check Rockstars Facebook and Twitter feed for updates on game fixes as well as the “GTA Online” support site.
