As Rockstar Games promised last month, fans of GTA Online will receive access to creation tools to make their own deathmatches and races within Grand Theft Auto V’s multiplayer mode later this week. The developer announced on Monday that the mission creator will launch at some point during the week but stresses that the tools will be in beta and encourages fans to submit error reports for any bugs they encounter while building their own in-game content.
The GTA Online creation kit beta will allow gamers to customize their own deathmatches and races. Players will even be able to publish their missions on the Rockstar Games Social Club for others to experience. Rockstar Games will also select the best user generated content and share them to the entire GTA Online community as verified jobs. As the tools are releasing in beta format, gamers can expect to experience issues while building their own missions. After the problems have been ironed out, the plan is to allow players to create their own full-fledged missions rather than just competitive content.
Grand Theft Auto V is out now only on the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. Everyone who owns the base game can also now download a free title update with gives them access to the title’s multiplayer mode, GTA Online. Rockstar Games stated that the creation tools could launch as early as Tuesday but won’t make any guarantees other than that the update will release at some point this week.
