‘GTA Online’ is having a white Christmas with a snowy Los Santos

In honor of the holidays, for Christmas day and that day only, Rockstar Games is treating GTA Online players to a special winter surprise as snow will blanket the entire city of Los Santos inside the GTA 5 multiplayer mode. The developer announced the special Christmas plans on Dec 24 which includes rare in-game snowfall as well as holiday-themed masks.

In addition to the Christmas Day transformation of Los Santos into a wintery retreat, players can also enjoy new customization options for their in-game avatars. Unlike the snowfall, which will last for one day only, the new character gear will be available until Jan 5. These event specials include options such as elf clothing alongside new mask choices that depict winter figures like Santa, reindeer, and snowmen. Furthermore, select apartments and vehicles will also be sold at discounted prices for the remainder of the holiday event.

Grand Theft Auto V is out now on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. The games online multiplayer mode is now available for owners of the base game through a free downloadable title update. The in-game snowfall lasts Christmas Day only while the seasonal accessories will be available until Jan 5.
