The content creator for GTA Online will enter beta this week, possibly on Tuesday, Dec. 10. Officially dubbed "Deathmatch & Race Creators Beta," players will be able create and customize jobs for the Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Race, GTA Race and Rally Race modes. These can be shared with others via Rockstar Social Club and Rockstar will review and mark the best as "Rockstar Verified Jobs" to be shared with the entire community.
Those interested in trying out the beta will only need to download the free update to GTA V and have their Xbox LIVE Gamertag or PSN account linked to a Social Club account.
Rockstar will also introduce a new game mode called "Capture" which is described as a twist capture the flag.
"Up to four squads battle to steal contraband, trucks, buses or whatever from opponents' bases using high-speed vehicles, explosive weaponry and cunning teamwork," Rockstar explained on its website. "Craft, cooperation and team tactics are key. The free Capture update will bring a host of new jobs to GTA Online, accessible via the open world and also directly through your phone. Capture is broken down into four variations - ‘Raid’, ‘Contend’, ‘Hold’ and ‘GTA.'"
Don't expect to see Capture until after next week though.
Meanwhile, Heists have long been on player's minds since it was dropped from the GTA Online launch and promised for a later release. That release will indeed be later as Rockstar Games says they are still "working very hard to get them as polished and as fun as they can be." The co-op heists will not arrive until sometime in 2014.
Lastly, the Grand Theft Auto V story mode will receive "substantial additions" in 2014 according to Rockstar.
