A Rockstar Games spokesperson has commented on glitch that is currently plaguing the cheater pool feature in “GTA Online.” According to a statement from the Rockstar Support website on Dec. 20, several players are reporting that the timer is malfunctioning. Instead of counting down, the clock has either remained stuck or even increased.

The spokesperson noted that the development team is aware that the timer for the cheater pool is currently buggy. They are currently looking into the problem. You can find some screenshots from “GTA Online” located in the slideshow to the left of this article and the comment below:

We have received reports of a stuck or increasing timer in the Cheater Pool, and we are looking into this issue.

The cheater pool restricts players from using the full functionality of “GTA Online” for a limited amount of time. However, it appears that the timer is malfunctioning at the moment, potentially causing those affected to wait longer than usual. The feature was implemented to prevent players from using cheating methods such as taking advantage of mods or glitches.

Rockstar Games also began banning exploiters who were obtaining an infinite amount of in-game currency. The company appears to be cracking down on a few suspected members of the community.

“GTA Online,” which came out on Oct. 1, is expected to receive numerous updates in the near future. The development team is planning to add online cooperative heists in addition to several other downloadable content expansions for the multiplayer mode of “GTA 5.”
