Rockstar Games released more details Friday about the upcoming Beach Bum DLC for Grand Theft Auto Online plus the long-in-work Content Creator for the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of GTA V. The first Social Club weekend events will also be starting up soon.
The Beach Bum Pack will be released in early November for free according to Rockstar Games and will bring "all-new beach themed vehicles and new weaponry that you’ll be able to use in both GTA Online and Story Mode." New Jobs will also be available with Gang Attacks, Survivals, Last Team Standings, Parachutes, Deathmatches and Races as options to earn reputation and cash in Los Santos. New tats, hairstyles and other customization options will also be included.
The GTA Online Content Creator will also finally be released "this fall" according to Rockstar Games. Technically, fall ends on Dec. 20, 2013 so it could be released at anytime the next two months. Once released, players will be able to create, publish, rate and play custom Deathmatch and Race Jobs. The developer also states that exceptionally crafted jobs will be stamped with "Rockstar Verified" and will be featured in the game and on the Newswire blog. Like the Beach Bum Pack, the Content Creator will be free.
Finally, the first Rockstar Social Club events for GTA Online will begin in November.
"[T]he first Grand Theft Auto Online Social Club Event weekends...will bring special rewards and bonuses ranging from limited-edition in-game Event Crate Drops to in-game discount specials and even a special new GTA Online live-stream show hosted by Rockstar at the Social Club Events page and Rockstar Games Twitch page – plus prize pack giveaways of hard to find GTAV gear and more," Rockstar announced.
There is still no word on when Heists will be added to GTA Online. That feature was pulled at the last second before the GTA V multiplayer was released at the beginning of October. However, Rockstar has been busy trying to stabilize the online play.
