New details regarding the DLC release dates for “GTA Online” have been revealed by Rockstar Games. In a post from the Rockstar Newswire on Oct. 25, the company disclosed that the beach bum pack and content creator have been pushed back from the initial launch plans.
The beach bum pack won’t be coming out until “early November.” The add-on content update adds new character customization options, jobs, vehicles, weapons and more beach-themed items to both the single-player and “GTA Online” modes of “GTA 5.” You can check out the full details on the release of the beach bum pack below (courtesy of Rockstar Newswire):
Coming in early November will be the first add-on content update, the Beach Bum Pack which will bring all-new beach themed vehicles and new weaponry that you’ll be able to use in both GTA Online and Story Mode. Plus new customization options for your GTA Online character including new tats, hairstyles and more. We’ll also be adding lots of brand new action-packed Jobs to play with Gang Attacks, Survivals, Last Team Standings, Parachutes, Deathmatches and Races that will have you bloodying up the waters and coastlines of the finest beach resorts across Los Santos and Blaine County.
Rockstar Games also announced that the content creator is now slated to come out some time later this fall. The new feature lets players create custom death matches and race jobs. A few of the custom content will be featured by the company. You can take a look at the details below:
We are also working to bring you the debut of the first part of the GTA Online Content Creator this fall – giving players the ability to craft, publish, rate and play custom-made Deathmatch and Race Jobs. We’ll be keeping our eye open for exceptional ones that we’ll be stamping as ‘Rockstar Verified’ and will be featuring them here at the Newswire and as part of forthcoming GTA Online Social Club Events. Both the Content Creator and the Beach Bum Pack are free.
The beach bum pack and content creator were initially planned to be released within the first few weeks of the launch of “GTA Online.” However, the development team ended up having to spend a lot of time trying to resolve numerous connection errors and missing content issues with the multiplayer instead of working on the new DLC. With most of the problems fixed, it appears that Rockstar Games will be focused on releasing the new downloadable content.
